Ramadanman: Don’t Change For Me
My review of Hessle Audio co-founder Ramadanman’s debut EP is up on Pitchfork today. It’s antagonistic, beat-heavy stuff, fairly alienating on first listen but it definitely grows on you. RIYL: Autechre, intense breakbeat, etc. This is the closing track on the EP (which I’ve also written about at greater length); it’s absolutely beautiful and not as IDM-y as the rest of the record (although there’s a fair share of drum’n’bass going on here as well).
